Leadership Development Programme
In 2024, Community Waitākere launched the Community Waitākere Leadership Development Programme, a groundbreaking initiative designed to strengthen leadership within small not-for-profit organisations. Developed through extensive focus group feedback, this free professional development opportunity equips managers and team leaders—particularly those serving Māori and Pāsifika communities in West Auckland—with essential skills in governance, strategy, project management, and more. Through a series of targeted workshops, participants gain practical knowledge in financial management, mental health and well-being, policy development, and strategic planning, ensuring they can lead their organisations with confidence.
