Are you looking for a new opportunity?
We are looking for a Community Environmental Coordinator - Māori. This role provides a unique and exciting opportunity to contribute to and grow Community Waitākere mahi with our West Auckland Māori communities.
You will be responsible for supporting communities with a focus on Māori, to engage with and lead community and kaupapa Māori activities that seek to increase social and environmental wellbeing.
The coordinator role will support the Community Waitākere team to understand how to apply te Ao Māori concepts to their work and within the delivery of projects as needed.
What are we looking for?
You will have lived experience in supporting communities to grow their capacity and capability to lead solutions that support social and environmental wellbeing.
You will have a sound knowledge of te ao Māori perspectives and practice within te taiao context and a passion for supporting our communities to flourish.
This role requires a go-getter adept in navigating relationships, communication, planning and delivering projects at a community level and the empathy to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
Based in the heart of Henderson near West Wave, with free parking on-site a wonderful view and a great space with passionate people, plus:
